Nine Lessons & Carols – December 2, 2022
On the evening of December 2, 2022, the quadrangle in Christwood School was lit up to usher in Christmas- what better way than with Carols – “Nine Lessons & Carols”. Under a clear sky with the moon and stars in their place, the staff choir made music and songs to an audience who responded to an open invitation. A troupe of musicians playing the violin, viola, cello, classical guitar and trombone, enhanced the singing, producing a musical extravaganza.
Nine Lessons from the word of God were read out at intervals to take the audience through the story of Christmas, right from Genesis to the Gospels. Each lesson was followed by a special anthem and a popular hymn. The children of Karunyam delightfully rendered one of the anthems. The cheer and joy of the music announcing the birth of Christ will be reverberating in the Christwood Campus in the coming many days.
