USIEF Workshop by Dr. Venkateswaran Narayanaswamy – November 15, 2022
On Tuesday, 15 November 2022, Christwood School, in collaboration with USIEF, hosted a workshop by Dr. Venkateswaran Narayanaswamy, an Associate Professor in the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, North Carolina State University. With his hands-on experiences and accomplishments in the field, Dr. Venkateswaran engaged an enthralled audience of children from Grades 8 to 11 on the subject of “Space Economy: A New Frontier of Human Endeavour”. The talk was ‘futuristic’ in scope, appealing in its possibilities and opportunities. The Q&A session proved just as informative as the seminar itself, and selected children had the opportunity to have a hands-on session with the professor.
Our children also had the opportunity to be introduced to how they might begin planning for higher education, especially in the United States, should they be interested. This session was led by Ms. Shanthi Mohan, the Advisor of Education USA from the United States-India Educational Foundation (USIEF).
